Name Place Animal Thing is a Mumbai-based design studio that has uniqueness in contemporary furniture, lights, installations, and decor. Priyam Doshi is a founder and design head of the Name Place Animal Thing. With more than 12 years of experience designing and developing lifestyle products, including furniture, lighting, decor and spatial installations, he is an enthusiastic designer.  

Priyam is an Alumnus of the National Institute of Design, Masters of Design - Lifestyle Accessory Design & D. J. Sanghvi College of Engineering - DJSCOE (Mumbai University), Bachelor of Engineering - Production Technology. As a young designer, Priyam discovered that he could create anything under the sun by taking inspiration from different names, places, animals, and things! Being a designer who has always valued versatility & uniqueness, the name seemed even more appropriate.  

Their uniquely designed products are MADE IN INDIA. They enjoy experimenting with new, natural, and recycled materials, processes, and techniques to design & create interesting or playful products. They address their products FUN-ctional. It means their products are functional, useful & fun at the same time. Apart from their own designer products, they collaborate with different architects, interior designers, & manufacturers on custom project.
