Blackened Clay Urali Pot
Inclusive of all taxes
In the olden times, people in rural India used to cook in clay urali pots or handi, which was healthy and food would be flavorsome. Earthenware had always been an intrinsic part of Indian households and Ayurveda suggests cooking in clay urali pots. Our blackened clay urali pots are ideal for cooking because they are made by traditional artisans and baked in wood fired kilns at very high temperature and can be used over gas as well as wood fire.
Deep burned clay urali pots are made using a very old traditional pottery technique. A normal red clay pot is kilned once, but deep burned urali pots are put in the kiln twice. The second time, potters bake the urali pots stacked together with wood and sawdust at a high temperature. This blackens the urali pots and also makes it very strong and durable. Deep burned urali pots can withstand very high temperature and last longer. These urali pots are ideal to use for cooking in the kitchen or for decor purposes.
